John Hoye played bass guitar in rock bands before attending drama school. After leaving drama school he formed Operating Theatre Company (OTC), during this time OTC won two prestigious awards for new works - the LWT Plays on Stage Award and the Guinness/National Theatre Award for The Harlot’s Curse and Roberto Calvi is Alive and Well respectively. John’s credits include Les in East, Aston in The Caretaker, Jason in Medea, Judd in Bouncers and Lofty in the West End production of Alfie starring Adam Faith. He also played many major UK theatres in a number one tour of Alfie. He has recently appeared at the Soho Theatre and the Riverside Studios in London with two new plays Let There Be and Armed Forces Day. Television appearances include Journey’s End, Allo Allo, Miss Marple, Love Hurts and Three Up, Two Down. John has also acted in a number of feature films, and this year will see the completion of two features Pounce and Money in which he plays lead roles.
